Inspired by the great rose windows of Gothic cathedrals, this estate pendant is crafted in plique-à-jour enamel, the rare technique that turns gold into a true miniature stained-glass window. With no metal backing behind the enamel, light passes straight through each colored pane, so the pendant glows when it catches the sun. A ring of cobalt blue petals radiates from a burgundy center, framed by amber diamonds, green quatrefoils and an outer band of deep burgundy tracery, all outlined in 18K yellow gold like the lead lines of a real window. The 1-inch medallion hangs from a gold jump ring bail. A collectible piece that wears like a small work of art.
