One of the most collectible Louis Vuitton canvas collaborations ever produced - the Cerises Sac Plat is a landmark piece from the Murakami Cherry collection, featuring Takashi Murakami's smiling cherry-face motif printed across LV's classic monogram coated canvas. The Sac Plat's flat, open format easily fits most paper sizes making it the ultimate elegant work tote, and in the limited-edition Cerises print it becomes a genuine collector's investment. What makes the Murakami Cerises collection so significant? The Cerises collection was part of the landmark 2003 collaboration between Louis Vuitton and artist Takashi Murakami - the same partnership that produced the Multicolor monogram canvas. The smiling cherry-face motif on the Cerises was a playful subversion of the LV monogram's traditional luxury gravity, and the collection became immediately collectible. Twenty years later, Cerises pieces in excellent condition command significant premiums over their original retail prices.
