From Louis Vuitton's Winter 2020 collection, the Pochette Metis in Jacquard Since 1854 textile is a vintage-inspired piece of extraordinary texture and craft - the woven jacquard pattern combines LV symbols with the founding year 1854 in a fabric that reads as simultaneously archival and entirely contemporary. The top handle and detachable long strap give it the versatility to carry hand, shoulder, or crossbody. In excellent pre-owned condition with only minor metal scratches.

What is the LV Since 1854 jacquard and why is it significant? The Since 1854 collection was LV's first foray into a woven textile monogram - rather than printing the LV pattern onto canvas or leather, the Since 1854 fabric has the LV symbols and founding year woven directly into the jacquard textile. This creates a pattern with a completely different visual character from the standard monogram canvas - more textural, warmer, and distinctly archival in feel. It was a Winter 2020 seasonal collection that is no longer in production.
